Websites Built to Rank, Convert, and Last.

Custom Next.js websites engineered for speed, SEO, and scale. Modern stack, real results, full ownership — no themes, no page builders, no vendor lock-in.

What We Build

Every kind of site, on the same modern stack.

Marketing & Brochure Sites

For agencies, professional services, local businesses. Multi-page, content-led, SEO-first.

Web Applications

Custom dashboards, internal tools, customer portals. React + TypeScript, talking to your APIs.

Migrations

Off WordPress, Wix, Squarespace. Onto a stack that doesn’t lock you in or break under load.

Our Stack

Modern by default. Boring on purpose.

Every Sunrise website is built on Next.js with the App Router — the same framework used by some of the fastest sites on the web. Pages are server-rendered for SEO, statically generated where possible for speed, and hydrated with React 19 for interactivity when needed. TypeScript in strict mode catches bugs before they reach production, not after.

Styling is handled by Tailwind CSS — a utility-first design system that produces tiny CSS bundles and consistent design tokens across every page. No CSS-in-JS runtime cost, no bloated stylesheets, no “it looks different on that page” surprises.

Deployment lands on UK-based VPS infrastructure — not shared hosting, not a platform that disappears when the venture capital runs out. Auto-renewing SSL, systemd process management, and Nginx reverse proxying. The boring ops stack that just works.

If a framework is fashionable but unproven, we don't build production sites on it.

Process

From conversation to launch in five steps.

01

Discovery

Understand the business, the customer, the commercial goal. No assumptions. We learn what success looks like before a single wireframe is drawn.

02

Information Architecture

Site structure, navigation, page templates. The map before the build. Every page earns its place through a clear purpose and keyword intent.

03

Design

Wireframes, visual design, brand application. Every screen is reviewed before any code is written. No surprises at launch.

04

Build

Clean, accessible, performant. SEO foundations included from day one, not bolted on at the end. Code reviewed, typed, tested.

05

Launch

Production deploy, smoke tests, handover. You receive every credential, every Git commit, every domain — no hostage-taking.

Deliverables

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Why Modern Matters

The cost of building it wrong.

WordPress and page builders are the easy choice — and the one that costs more long-term. Plugin maintenance, security patches, slow load times, vendor lock-in. Every year the maintenance bill grows, and the site gets harder to change without breaking something.

A modern stack costs more upfront and less every year after. The site is faster, ranks better, breaks less, and remains yours forever. There are no licence fees, no plugin subscriptions, no surprise renewal invoices.

This isn't an aesthetic preference. It's a measurable difference in Core Web Vitals, search rankings, conversion rate, and total cost of ownership over five years.

Frequently Asked

Common questions, honest answers.

How long does a typical web project take?+
Marketing sites: 4–8 weeks. Web applications: 8–16 weeks. Migrations: 3–6 weeks depending on content volume. Every project gets a phase-by-phase timeline at proposal.
Do you build on WordPress?+
No. WordPress is banned from the Sunrise stack — security, maintenance, and performance reasons. Existing WordPress sites can be migrated to a modern Next.js build.
Can I edit the site after handover?+
Yes. Smaller content edits can be made via a lightweight CMS layer — we’ll recommend one based on your needs. For structural changes, you keep the full source code and Git history — any developer can pick up the project.
What does it cost?+
Every project is quoted on scope. Marketing sites typically sit in one bracket, web applications in another. Get in touch with what you’re building and we’ll send a proposal within 48 hours.
Do you handle hosting and SSL?+
Yes. Sites are deployed to UK-based VPS infrastructure with auto-renewing SSL. Hosting is included in project pricing for the first year.
What happens after launch?+
Optional monthly retainer covers updates, security patches, content changes, performance monitoring, and SEO ongoing work. No retainer required — many clients run their own site after handover.
Can you migrate my existing site without losing SEO?+
Yes. Migrations include URL preservation, 301 redirects, meta-tag carry-over, and search-console transition. Done right, traffic typically grows after a migration, not falls.
